Types of boiler
Combi Boiler
Combi boilers heat water instantaneously on opening a hot tap, so there is no need for a storage cylinder.
System Boiler
System boilers provide both heating and hot water. The heated water is stored in a water cylinder which is usually housed in an airing cupboard. There is no need for separate top up water tanks in the loft.
Conventional Boiler
Conventional boilers work with a hot water cylinder and cold water top up tanks to provide both heating and hot water.
